So earlier today, Mama and I were talking about our funerals. I said I wanted Baci in the casket with me. We paused for a while then laughed after picturing his signature sad face looking up to the people outside the casket - nagmamakaawa. I changed my mind. I’ll most probably leave him with my children. They better take good care of him. I want him to live forever!
Then we imagined if Bits wanted her ginormous moose to lie beside her.
On a more serious note. If a child were to die, particularly a little girl, wouldn’t it be pretty if she were positioned to look like she was just sleeping, lying on her side, on soft and fluffy bedding, hugging a stuffed toy or a pillow? Mama thinks it will make people laugh. I think it’s pretty.
